If the OLED display option is selected, audit event codes can be viewed using the keypad, showing the last 50 events.

Audit events are written using the time and date as the lock perceives it, as such it is important to input the time and date on first use, if there has been a power loss, and annually. When supplied by Safelock Systems, the clock time will change for Daylight Savings Time according to UK settings

Alarm interface

Peripheral equipment is required to use the lock’s alarm interface features, sold separately

Advanced features

Silence keypad sounds

Updatable firmware (Requires Windows software and peripheral equipment sold separately)

Penalty and power

Consecutive entry of 4 incorrect codes initiates a 5-minute penalty period

LA GARD 702 is usually powered by 2 x 9v alkaline batteries housed in the keypad. When the low-profile keypad is used, a separate battery box with 2 x 9v alkaline batteries must be fitted inside the container. 702 can also be powered from the mains with peripheral equipment.

Firmware updates

LA GARD 700 Series has updatable firmware which allows for bugs fixes, new features and performance improvements.

Inevitably, this can change how the lock operates. As such different user instructions might apply depending on the firmware versions of the lock that is installed. Safelock Systems will only ever publish instructions for the most recent firmware release on lock pages. The firmware version of the installed lock can be ascertained using the guide on THIS PAGE, where is is also possible to download older operating instructions.
