Prior to taking an audit, ensure that the driver and audit software have been downloaded and installed on the computer. Instructions and software are available here.
What you’ll need
Audit equipment is available to purchase from our online store, the parts below are required.
Master or Manager code
Take audit
- Connect the molex plug of the audit and setup cable to the USB interface
- Connect the USB interface to the computer
- Connect the jack plug of the audit and setup cable to the port on the MiniTech keypad
- Run the audit software and ensure that the USB interface has been detected
- On the MiniTech, press any key to wake the display
- Press and hold 7, the screen will display LOCK AUDIT
- Enter the manager code, the screen will display ENTER DALLAS
- Press the arrow key
, the screen will show PC LINK → SCROLL EVENTS - Press the arrow key again , the screen will show PC LINK….. with the dots appearing from right to left
- On the audit software, click Download, then select MiniTech Audit
- In the dialogue box that appears, specify the number of events to download (Max 5,500) and select either the keypad or lock 1 or lock 2
- Click OK and wait for the audit to finish downloading. A message will show Operation done when the audit is complete.
- The software provides options for exporting the contents of the audit.
- Click the Configuration tab to view firmware information and the status of users.
