What you’ll need
LA GARD 700 series locks are audited and setup using Windows software which requires a license key and peripheral equipment.
Kits are available to purchase from our online store, which comprise a Software license, USB interface and audit and setup cable
Software versions
In due course a compatibility matrix for software and firmware versions will be available. Currently, all software release versions will be available to download from our website. However, the manufacturers advise updating locks and keypads to the latest firmware release – which may be enforced when using later software versions.
Download and unpack the file
- Click any of the buttons below to access a webpage where a .zip (Compressed) file with the relevant LA GARD 700 Series software package can be downloaded.
- On the web page that opens, click the Download button
located top left on the page. Do not click the file itself
The zipped file will download to either the downloads folders, or another location depending on your browser. Once the file has downloaded, it must be unpacked or unzipped.
- Locate then right click the file and select Extract all…. If the file has been supplied on a USB flash drive, copy the file to your computer and extract it.
If it is not possible to unpack the .zip file using the Extract all… command, download suitable unpacking software such as 7-zip
- Once the zipped file has been unpacked, open the folder and locate the file LA GARD Setup.msi. The file may also appear as setup.exe.

Program a lock
700 Series software can be used to program models 702-705, and configure how the lock operates. In the majority, lock configuration can be done using the keypad by following the Model (702-705) user instructions, available to download from the relevant lock page on our main website.
There are 2 key features of lock operation that require the software: Timelock and DST tables. More information for engineers can be found on the restricted pages of our engineers website.
