Wrong code and penalty
Entry of an incorrect code results in a long beep. Entry of 4 consecutive incorrect codes results in a 4 minute penalty period, indicated by an LED flash every 10 seconds. Any attempt to enter a code during the penalty restarts the count of 4 minutes.
Troubleshooting
- A long beep sounds on a key press and the LED flashes every 10 seconds
- The lock is in penalty caused by 4 entries of an incorrect code. Wait for the penalty period of 4 minutes to elapse.
- Multiple beeps sound
- The battery is low and should be replaced with a good quality 9v alkaline battery. See change battery
- A key does not beep when pressed
- The batteries may be depleted, see change battery.
- A key may be faulty, undertake a keypad test if any keys are faulty, contact a safe engineer.
- The safe or vault door does not open
- If the lock system is otherwise operating normally, there is a mechanical fault. Contact a safe engineer.
Change battery
Low battery is indicated by a series of beeps during opening. If there is no response from the keypad, the battery may be completely depleted.
The battery cover is located at the 6 o’clock position on the keypad. The procedure is shown in the video below.
Replace with a good quality 9v alkaline battery.
